Amy Childs confirmed she wouldn’t be breastfeeding her twins when they arrive in the new year and admitted she was expecting to be trolled over her decision.
The reality star, 32, shared the news that she was to give birth to twins – a boy and a girl – with boyfriend Billy Delbosq, 39, at the end of October.
On Saturday the mother-of-two revealed she would hold off on breastfeeding her newborns after her struggles with five-year-old daughter Polly, who she shares with former partner Bradley Wright.
Amy is also mum to son Richie, four, with an ex-boyfriend who chose to stay out of the limelight.
The TOWIE regular admitted breastfeeding ‘wasn’t for her’ and said she was ready to receive any trolling she anticipated would come as a result of her decision.
Writing in her OK! column, Amy touched on the subject amid her pregnancy update: and said she is ‘not going to breastfeed. It’s not for me.’
‘I couldn’t do it with Polly, I was devastated because there is so much pressure but you have to do what is right for you as a new mum and ultimately that’s what is right for the baby,’ she explained.
‘When I had Polly, I had loads of messages saying, “you need to breastfeed”, and for me, I’ve decided I’m not going to, and that’s where we’re at.
‘I know I’ll get trolled but I get trolled anyway – you’re never going to please everyone so you’ve got to do what’s right for you.’
Her words came after the beauty shared a 23-week bump-date in the form of a mirror selfie on Friday.
Posing in just a gray sports bra and joggers, the star spoke of her disbelief at the fact she was going to give birth to not one, but two babies in the new year.
Underneath the picture that grabbed the attention of her 783k followers, Amy penned: ‘23 weeks.. o bump you are getting big?? still can’t believe I have 2 babies growing in there I feel massive.
‘PS forgot to tan the belly [sic]’.
The couple are yet to reveal the due date of the new arrivals.
